Ultrasonic Welding Anvil

This aluminum anvil was designed to produce a perimeter weld for an advanced N95 mask. The anvil features a removable center plug that's magnetically activated to hold the filter media in place during the welding cycle. Using this ultrasonic welding process early in the prototyping stage significantly advances this mask design towards NIOSH certification and a path to market.

This custom jig uses toggle clamps to precisely and position and hold elastic headbands used on a prototype N95 mask.
